2027 dance: made in canada/fait au canada festival application

dance: made in canada/fait au canada (d:mic/fac) Festival, is a biennial repertory contemporary dance festival that will be running from August 18 to 22, 2027 in Toronto. d:mic/fac Festival presents both new and existing works by established, mid-career, and emerging choreographers working in Canada, a screen dance series, and related activities.

This call is for artists wanting to present their stage work in a shared program – MainStage and/or WYSIWYG. Choreographers can apply to present a short work or an excerpt of a longer work. Performers can also apply to present a choreographer’s work with their written permission.

Call for Dance Films

d:mic/fac 2026 is inviting short dance films by Canadian artists that explore the intersection of movement and media. Selected films will be presented in one live, in-person screening in Toronto in August 2027 and will receive an honorarium.
