Coming into the Swallowing Clouds program, I was really curious about how Tiger Princess approached teaching creative arts. Teaching dance was much clearer to me in terms of the structure of a class, and having clear goals and progression. Facilitating a space for creation and art-making was a little out of my wheelhouse, but I was excited to learn and be part of this program. I was excited about being able to share my passion for dance and art making with others, and the methods that Tiger Princess use were intriguing to me. I really liked the idea of facilitating a space that inspires creativity, guiding creation rather than forcing it by telling people what to create or how to create it. Providing a framework and different methods of creation and then watching what everyone creates, is so satisfying to see! I have been able to dive into a multitude of methods for creation and art-making, and attending a session always leaves me itching to create something. I have learned so much since joining TPDP, and I am looking forward to my continued growth and learning with Swallowing Clouds!
